The chief aim of man

Why do so many people admire Ozzy Osbourne, when you could easily argue that he has done nothing but fry his brains on drugs and set a bad example for an entire generation?  My feeling is that he is admired because people recognise that he has “lived himself out to the full”, and that this is the inate desire of each soul – to fully express and experience itself. It seems to me that this is why prison is such a terrible punishment because it denies the soul the usual multitude of opportunities to express and experience itself.

This is surely the chief aim of man: to express and experience Who We Really Are.

What a person to pick and discuss life experiences. I don’t necessarily admire Ozzy but with all the knowledge I have of him and his life I feel that he is content with his choices. If CwG teaches us anything I think being content with yourself and what you’ve done is pretty high on the list. If I were to admire him it would be for living the way CwG tells you to without having read it. He just seems to “get it”.
